Steel tempering processes by Härterei Conrad, Iserlohn

YOUR PARTS ARE GOOD.
WE MAKE THEM EVEN BETTER.

You give us your requirements, we coordinate the process with you.
This way you already can take a choice at the moment of construction, such as choosing the right material.
such as choosing the right material.
HARDENING TECHNOLOGY

Härterei Conrad uses the following methods for hardening metal parts:
Quench and temper
First of all the delivered parts are tested, cleaned and degreased if necessary, then heated to austenitizing temperature with subsequent quenching in oil. The desired hardness is set by subsequent heating. Cleaning and degreasing of the supplied parts, then heating to austenitizing temperature with subsequent quenching in oil. The desired hardness is set by subsequent heating.
Austempering – Bainitization
In this process the parts are also heated to austenitizing temperature, but then cooled in a liquid salt bath. The treatment time and temperature of the salt leads to the desired hardness, which is combined with particularly high toughness and fatigue strength. The holding time and temperature of the salt leads to the desired hardness, which here is combined with particularly high toughness and fatigue strength.
Annealing/Tempering
In our annealing furnaces we process parts that cannot go through continuous operation and non-ferrous metals such as copper, brass and berryllium. This technique is also used for hardening aluminium alloys and 1. 4310. They are also used for hardening aluminium alloys and 1. 4310.
